Christmas :)

What do you want for Christmas? I don't really know what I want for Christmas. I want little things like Clothes, Bungee chair, I-home, iPod cases, Miss Me jeans and other stuff. I don't really care what I get. I really will just take anything I get. I am really exited for Christmas. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year !! :)

Friends

My friend birthday party was also very fun! We went to the movie Frozen. The movie was very funny! My friends and I laughed a lot! The snowman Olaf like made the movie! He was hillarious!!:) His faces and his actions and even his words were so funny!! I loved him! I could go and see that movie again! After the movie we went to Bufflo Wild Wings to eat. Once we got done eating we took the girls home! My friends could have stayed overnight but we had a funural and wake to go to early in the morning! My party was still fun even though my friends couldnt stay over! I really had fun! 

CAKE:)

My basketball cake:) I really wanted my grandma to make me a basketball cake. And she did!  I really like it. She did a good job! Guess what kind it is? MARBLE!!:) Yummy! My birthday was really fun!:)

My Birthday

Saturday is my birthday! I am turning eleven! I am having 4 friends over Laurelle, Libby, Ally and Nora. We went  to the movie Frozen on Friday. We all got popcorn at the movie and loaded it with BUTTER!!!! :) I really liked the movie it was very funny. The snowman like made the movie I laughed a lot at him. On Saturday I'm having a  family birthday. My grandma is making me a basketball cake. Its looked very good. I really just want to dig in and eat it.  My 11th birthday is going very good so far. But I have not even opened my gifts yet :)

Thanksgiving

I cant believe Thanksgiving is already here! The year really flew by. I think it should still be summer! The rest of the week and weekend I will be spending time with my family. I will be going to my Grandmas tonight for Thanksgiving. On Thursday I will be going to my other Grandma and Grandpas. What is your favorite Thanksgiving food? Mine would be the mash potatoes and gravy. YUMMY! My grandma makes the best! They are so creamy.

So I am thankful for my Family. I don't know where I would be without them. My mom,dad,aunts,uncles,grandma,and grandpa are always there for me. I really enjoy being with them. They are always helping me and so I try helping them with something back. I like watching my cousins while my aunt goes shopping or something. I try to also to watch my brother and sister while my mom and dad go someplace. I think I should help them out sometimes when they help me always. I always try to help my grandma and grandpa if they need help at anytime. My grandma has her own little gift shop I like helping her when she needs it. My grandpa always helps me if I'm having trouble with my sports or if I need to start doing something better in basketball or softball. I really enjoy be around my family. I am so thankful that I have them here with me!

Basketball Tournament

This weekend we have  a  tournament, I am very exited. I hope we do well. We need to win some games. Our team is getting better than last year, I am anxious to see what this weekend will be like. I think we will do pretty good. Last tournament we didn't do so good on doing our plays. I hope this tournament will go better with the plays. We have been practicing them at practice, we have been doing good with them. This weekend should go pretty good.

Confused

Have you ever read a book and really liked it until it gets really confusing? Well I really feel that way right now with the book Catching Fire by: Suzanne Collins. I really like it but its starting to get very CONFUSING!! I don't know what is going on!  I just don't understand where she is going with the story.  I think I need to read more to find out what is happening, but I just hate not knowing what's going on.  It seems like it's going nowhere.  I'm sure it will get better and something will happen that will make everything make more sense.  But it bothers me. 

Halloween

Halloween was on Thursday I went with a couple of  other friends came with me we all dresses up like cowgirls! We all put makeup  on and wore bandanas around our necks. The bad part was that it was rainy and it was very cold! My hand like froze and they went numb! It was also windy so my cowgirl hat kept flying off my head and on to the street! My hat almost flew into someone's yard! But the fin part was that we got a lot of candy! I got a lot of bags of chips it was kinda weird because last year I barley got any! I also got a lot of suckers like blowpops I'm glad because they are my favorite! The other thing I love that I got was a popcorn ball! I even got one that was colored blue! It was very good! She just finished the ball so it was nice and warm! Trick or treat was very fun this year even though it was rainy and chilly!

ROAR Celabration

Yesterday we got to dress up for meeting our ROAR expectations. We dressed up like someone we admire or what we want to be when we get older! Then in the afternoon we got to go over to the high school and walk threw. We also got to walk threw Shady Rest Nursing Home. I really think the old people liked seeing our outfits.  When we got back the younger kids walked over to our end of the building and we got to see their costumes!  We also dressed because its the end of the quarter. It flew by so fast!

Jam The Van

This Friday we won Jam The Van. We brought I 110 items. Every class in the school had a box to fill up this whole week. The class that brought in the most wins a pizza party. We are going to have a pizza party sometime next week. Our class won last year too. The lady that runs the food pantry said " all these items that you brought in will help the food pantry for 1 whole year. I'm glad that we won! 

Basketball

We have had a couple of basketball practices. We have been working on speed dribbling and control dribbling. Also been working on hesitating,drive fakes, shot fakes, and pass fakes. Last practice we worked on plays. I don't know what position I will play yet. We have 2 plays so far. I'm thinking we will work on more next week. This weekend we have a basketball tournament! Last year we played in this tournament  we only won 1 game. We played 3 games and the last game we won that game and we played very good. That game was the funniest. We had 5 girls come up with a play it was Libby, Sydney, Julia, Alyssa, and me.
Our play was called Sparkle. Our coach didn't think that the play would work but, guess what it did. We did score and our coach was very happy! I am hoping that these games will go the same way. I'm very exited to play tomorrow! Hope we do good! :)

Red Ribbon Week

This next week at school we will be starting Red Ribbon Week. What we did last year was dress up and wear different clothes. One time it was western day, pajama day, and just dress up like anything we wanted. This year I don't know if we are going to do to dress up or what? I thought it was fun dressing up last year. The big and fun week and weekend

This week went by very fast! It was very good though.

On Monday in science class we learned how floods can damage and wipe out cities and towns. We also had to learn how protect a city or town. So it didn’t get flooded. Our group dug out a spot around the town or city. Then all the water would go right to the hole and didn’t flood the town or city. The town or city was represented by cube. It was really fun. Our group tried it 2 times the first time it didn’t work. The 2^nd time that’s when we dug the hole and it worked. The 1^st time we just made a wall round the cube and it didn’t work. Science class was fun this week. On Monday also we had music and P.E. in music we learned how to play a song on the recorders. The song was the bean setting.

On Tuesday we had an Artist and Residence. They we telling us about ballet and how it got started. They were telling us also how the story of ballet got started. The lady that was talking about ballet also brought dancers with her. The dances wore clothes from the old days and some had clothes nowadays.

On Wednesday we had music we finished the song up on the recorders. In P.E we did pacers and finished up our batting unit. Now our new unit is volleyball.

On Thursday was a good day! We had a normal day. We had social studies and we were reviewing for the test. Then on Tuesday we took the test. I think I did pretty well.

On Friday was a normal day again. On Friday we had art. We are working on a painting. We took a picture and made it so it was updated and not so old. After school I and some more of my friends went to Nora’s and we went to a haunted house. It was very scary and very terrifying. I will never go back. People were coming at me from all angles. After the haunted house we went back to Nora’s house. That night we didn’t go to bed at all. I was very tired on Saturday and Sunday.     

On Saturday Nora’s mom took us home around 11. Then I had to go to soccer games. My brother won his first game. Then he played another game and lost.  My sister played 2 games and won both. After that we went to Pizza Hut.

On Sunday right away in the morning we took family pictures. Then we had soccer my brother played 1 game and lost. Then on the other hand my sister won and their team is undefeated. They had a very good team. After they played we went to Dairy Queen and got ice cream.

My week end was very big and fun.

My Writing

My Hero

My Grandma is my hero! She is very special to me and I look up to her.

My hero is my Grandma. She is very helpful. She will always help me if I need help if I need something. If we don’t have something at home my Grandma will always have it.

                        My Grandma means a lot to me. She comes to a lot of my softball and basketball games. My Grandma very loving and she is always giving me hugs. I love going places with my Grandma. The reason I love going places with my Grandma it’s really fun just me and her.

                        I really enjoy being with my Grandma. She makes the best food and deserts. My Grandma is awesome. I love her!

                        My Grandma will always we be there for me.  She my hero! 

Math and Social Studies

This weeks math class sort of looked like this. Again we are learning how to estimate bigger numbers. We are also learning how to round bigger numbers. Its a little hard to round decimals but once you get it its not very hard.

In social studies the last couple of weeks we have been learning about landforms. We learned about deltas, mouth of the rivers and sources, also a ton of other landforms. We took our first test for chapter 1. I think I did great on it.

This past week we have been learning about how to estimate in math. We are took our first spelling test of the year last week. I got 100%. I thought the words were a little easy. But on the pretest I didn't do so well. In math we also took our chapter 1 test. The one problem that I struggled with was the place value one. After I got help after the test I understood it better. It made way more sense  after I got it explained to me. In science we finished investigation 1. We are pretty much done with the models of the school. We are going to start on investigation 2 sometime.

This weeks science class

We are working on models of our school in science! We are learning about landforms and the models that we are making are birds eye view! The models are made out of sand and clay!

This is a very amazing video. Its very cool too. Caine is 9 years old he has his own arcade in L.A. You really need to watch this video. Caine's games are all made out of cardboard.

This week in class we made a book report. I did my book report about the book Abduction By: Peg Kehret. I read that book last year.  I really liked that book it was very good and I didn't want to stop reading it. This was the first book report I ever did on Microsoft Publisher. It was really fun making this book report and designing it. 

Bernard Softball Tournament

My last softball tournament of the season was in Bernard. In the first game we played Worthington. I hit a double and 2 other people did. We won that game. We played really well.

            The second game a couple of people hit doubles. We have 2 3^rd graders on who played on our team and one of them hit a double. We won that game too! We played Peosta.

            We played really well. We even won the whole tournament. That was the last tournament for the season! I had really fun! My whole team got a medal.

The week

Today is Friday !! This week was very short we got out early all week at 1:00 because of the heat. We learned about divisibility and the rules of divisibility. We also learned how to play a math game Factor Captor. This week was really fun!! I am so exited its Friday! :)  

My First Week of School

My first week of school was so cool! We learned about rectangular arrays, factors and products. I made new friends!!
